He lied to Catelyn about the owner of the dagger (notice how Arya said, at the trial, that Baelish lied to Catelyn about it being Tyrion’s dagger, but never said that Baelish was the one who sent the assassin with it?)Ĥ. He persuaded Lysa to write to Catelyn and tell her that the Lannisters has murdered Jon Arryn to provide even more reason for the Starks to be suspicious of and hate the Lannisters.ģ. He persuaded Lysa to murder Jon Arryn and provided her with the poison to do so.Ģ. So what was his agenda? Did he exactly predict that Catelyn will not leave the room and the assassin cannot kill Bran and he will be killed himself by Summer or what?ġ. Or maybe he asked the assassin to leave the dagger there after killing Bran? Which is a very stupid idea and would cause more suspicions. If the assassin managed to kill Bran and run away, then nobody would have realized that the Valyrian steel dagger has been used, and the conflict and chaos that he was looking for would not be achieved. Plus, he gave the fancy dagger to the assassin and later claimed than it was for Tyrion. Or was he aware that Summer would show up and save the day? My question is, given his true love towards Catelyn, did he really want her son dead? The assassin could also kill Catelyn if Summer did not get involved. So we learn in season 7 that Baelish was the one who sent the assassin to kill Bran to cause animosity between the Starks and the Lannisters and make chaos and ladder etc. Gizmodo: Game of Thrones Petition to Remake Season 8 Reaches a Million Signatures INTERACTįreefolk Discord Server on Twitter ALLIES WSJ: ‘Game of Thrones’ Spoiler Alert: A Spanish Doctor Will Tell You How It Ends (fookin' paywall) Newsweek: How ‘Game of Thrones’ Leaks Happen: Reddit’s Freefolk Mods Outline the Life of a Spoiler Season 8 News and Leaks FREEFOLK IN THE MEDIAīBC: Emilia Clarke thanks Game of Thrones fans for fundraiser We believe people are mature enough to decide for themselves when, how, and what content to view.
